Riyad is our new co-owner, He has been a private and NHS Dental Hygienist /Therapist for over 20 years
Riyad has a wealth of experience, he graduated with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene with Distinction (Top of the college). Balqa University, Jordan, 1996. He then worked as a Hygienist where He provided treatment to the Royal Family of Jordan and VIP government officials. In 2002 Riyad moved to Scotland and enrolled on a postgraduate advanced course at Edinburgh University where he was able to gain further experience working with patients from a much wider range of background.
In 2015 Riyad finished his studies to become a qualified Dental Therapist & Hygienist with a BSc in Oral Health Science from University of the Highlands and Islands. which led him to being presented a nationally recognised award for his literature study about children’s best dental treatment options. He has been actively involved with the British Association of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT) and was elected as a member in the committee.
Riyad have excellent rapport with his patients, even those who have the most innate phobia of the dentist. He currently works for a private and mixed practices in Stockbridge and Juniper green, where he treats a catalogue of NHS, private, and Denplan patients.
Riyad is able to treat patients for routine hygiene appointments and restorations and he has invaluable experience in the treatment and management of gum disease conditions (Periodontitis and Gingivitis) – the biggest cause of tooth loss. He has done many courses in gum disease treatment and cosmetic fillings; His education history highlights his commitment and enthusiasm for continued development.
a busy father of three children, in his spare time, he enjoys playing football, cycling, and travelling. He works very hard for his patients and try to maintain a good work life balance with the family.
